Where are We Now?

Our last tapas dish in Barcelona

Since I last posted from the beautiful Madeira, we finished up our time in Portgual and breezed through Barcelona with

tapas, a beautiful beach, a day hiking at the Monteserrat Monestary and the Picasso museum.

After that we sped through as much Roman history (and Italian food) as a human being can in only four days. Our days included the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, Trevi Fountain,  St. Peter’s Basilica, the Piazza Venizia, and always ended with spaghetti and pizza.

We are not slowing down, and just arrived in Venice by train this afternoon. Everything has been spectucular, but I haven’t been able to share very well because I lost my laptop charger! In my haste to leave a hostel I forgot the golden rule of packing- always check under the bed! (Especially if the place you staying in has duct tape instead of actual glass in the windows. It makes me think the prospects of the hostel manager responding to my charger inquiries are pretty slim!)

Getting a charger for an American brand computer in Italy is proving difficult, but hopefully will be figured out soon! Updates will be a little less frequent and shorter, since I’m relying on hostel computers and my phone! Try to ignore any formatting issues or typos! I’m currently typing this on my phone from a campground laundry room outside of Venice.

Isn’t modern technology crazy? Maybe I have a new appreciation since our time spent in Rome!

Hope to be back with a computer shortly, and share some real photos soon!
